More Behind the Scenes for "The Heron"

Hello again!

As we are nearing the completion of The Heron, I thought it would be fun to show you a few more behind-the-scenes pictures of the production from all the way back in mid-November. These were all taken by the kind and generous Art Gingert--not only the owner of one of our two main locations, but a lifelong professional photographer and nature lover. He opened his home to us and shared many amazing facts about the very landscape we were shooting in. Thanks Art!

Enjoy,

Josh D.

Behind The Scenes of "The Heron"

Editing is underway for my new film, The Heron, and so I thought I would share a photo collage that I created during the set-up of one of our most beautiful sets.

The final image was created from 40 images (out of 200) taken over the course of five minutes with a Nikon D80 DSLR. There is no digital editing--save for color correction and resizing to fit the final collage.

I attempt to treat each of these as a short film. I want to demonstrate the passing of time through the art of a still image--as well as the inherently fragmented way that we remember scenes from our own lives.

Enjoy!
