Sickly, The Heron, and Other News
Hello again!
As usual, it has been months since I've updated this site. When I don't have a specific reason to do so (such as my 365 films blog) it becomes much harder to think of things to say/do.
In the meantime, however, I have been extremely busy.
- In March, I directed a short entitled Sickly, which is nearly complete. There will be more on this very soon.
- Just last week I finished my largest project to date: The Heron. It is a horror film shot in rural Connecticut about two homeschooled kids who are in the middle of a family crisis--and that's before an evil forest spirit appears in the form of a large, black, oily, heron.
- Also, an update: I teased an album that I had completed but could not announce. Well, during the Summer a film for which I wrote and recorded the musical score--Cacaya (dir. Peter Azen)--had its premier at the Montreal World Film Festival. Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming release of the soundtrack.
I am also in the middle of several other projects that I can't/don't want to talk about just yet, but I hope to give news/trailers/screenshots by the end of the year.
As always, thanks for reading, and be sure to check out the new changes to my site--including a new page for The Heron.
Take care,
Josh D.
